Even though the postage and pennies are supplied by the people who ask us to send a Peace Penny to a particular soldier, we still have significant expenses to cover: printing the cards that accompany the coin, purchasing the clear plastic envelopes that protect each penny in the mail, hosting this website, and other operational costs. It might not seem like a lot of money for sending one penny to someone, but when this project is multiplied into thousands of military personnel, our costs become substantial.

We knew we'd incur costs when we began this project, and we never intended to charge anyone for sending a Peace Penny to their friends or loved ones. We don't ask these people for money, and we never will.

So how can we keep doing what we're doing when we're just two guys pulling this together in our spare time?

We've decided to invite certain people to help underwrite some of these expenses by becoming "Peace Penny Partners." These special people understand there's something very satisfying about helping others. In addition to receiving the satisfaction of helping us share these unique mementos with soldiers all over the world, these people get something special in return: an 24 carat gold-plated Peace Penny in a velour jewelry bag.

We've only gold plated a limited number of Peace Pennies, and they're just for people who donate $25.00 to this project. That donation covers the costs we'd incur in sending out our regular Peace Pennies to nearly 100 members of the military. The gold plated coins are not available to the public through any other means, and they aren't for sale at any price. It's simply a way to recognize the contributions of a select group of supporters who value what we're trying to do, and are willing to help us do it.

We appreciate donations of any amount, but the gold-plated Peace Pennies are only available to those who donate $25.00 or more. Whatever you feel you can afford will be going directly back into the operation of this project, helping us help more people send thoughts of love and support to their family and friends serving our country.
